enter site Cities in Southern Arizona skew younger, more diverse, more progressive, and more affluent than other parts of the state. In Tucson, we must allow local governments to address their specific needs without interference from outside influences. We need our governance and infrastructure to enable high-tech manufacturing investments, safer communities, and growth. I support an appropriate balance of power and measures to make it more difficult for the state to withhold funds from cities, counties, and municipalities that pass laws, regulations, or ordinances that Phoenix legislators would prefer to manage themselves.
